We are an essential service

As we move to Level 4 lockdown tonight, we would like to reassure you we are here to support you throughout this time.

Support for Essential Services
As a manufacturer and supplier of electrical products it is our responsibility to maintain the supply chain to support you, the Electricians, with any repairs or callouts you may get in support of Essential Services.

Voltex Electrical products are used across all industries in NZ including Healthcare, Aged Care Facilities, Emergency Services, Food Production Plants, Domestic Applications and more.

Customer Care
We have Customer Care staff working from home and they will continue to operate to support you via phone, email and live chat.

Despatches
Despatch staff will be kept to a minimum and wherever possible will be staff who are already self-isolating together. At all times they will be practicing physical distancing and using best hygiene to take all steps to reduce any spread of the virus.

Couriers are still operating and deliveries will be dropped off using contact-less methods. There will be some changes with order cut-off times, due to fewer pickups by couriers. We will keep you updated about this as we have more information.

Looking ahead
Keeping your staff resilient in this crisis is a big challenge. Staying positive, looking for solutions and focusing on what can be done helps get through these disruptions.

It is great time to work on some proactive projects for your business and work your marketing strategy for when this lock-down is over.

Please stay strong, stay positive and we will endure together through this crisis!

Take care New Zealand!

Monday, 23 March 2020

We would like to take this opportunity to update you regarding our response to the government's announcement today.

As we move to Level 4 on Wednesday 25th March, we understand this is going to be a very challenging time for everyone and we want to be here to support you the best we can.

From today we have all office staff working in isolation from home and they will continue to operate to support you via phone, email and live chat.

We consider electrical products to be a requirement in support of Essential Services and will wait for further government clarification regarding this. If we are able to despatch, it will be limited to the minimum number of staff possible and they will be practicing physical distancing at all times.

Couriers are still operating so deliveries will get to you and will be dropped off using contactless methods.

We encourage you to make sure you take advantage of Government small business incentives if you qualify. Check it out here

All the best and please take care!

As the unprecedented global COVID-19 situation unfolds, we'd like to encourage the contractor community in this unusual time.

We're taking measures to ensure smooth trading and continued good customer service, because this epidemic will pass, and we don't want to lose anyone.

  • Ordering or inquiries via phone, email, website, online chat or the app are the safest options right now.
  • Make sure you take advantage of Government small business incentives if you qualify. Check it out here.
  • Voltex staff have been equipped to work from home where necessary so we can continue to support you.

Keeping your staff resilient in this climate is a big challenge. Staying positive, looking for solutions and focusing on what can be done helps get through these disruptions. Here's a collection of thoughts from the Voltex team:

  • Science agrees that a positive mindset has great health benefits. Fear driven negative mindsets hurt your immune system.
  • Remember that in every recession there were always people that came out stronger.
  • Capitalize on what comes - focus on serving others, be intentional about growing yourself, and you'll be perfectly positioned to make a difference in this world.
  • Tell your mind now you get to do all of the things you've been putting off, like systematising processes in your business, or marketing your services!
  • And don't feel bad about putting prices up or exploring new cost reducing steps (business practices not technical). Many customers would expect it.

Voltex affirms it is important to be guided by and actively follow the best advice from government and local authorities.

Thank you for your support and please take care!

Regards,
The Team at Voltex
